The “True Actor” and I repeat the “True Actor” is the hardest job in the world, but at the same time is among the most fun in the world. A profession that leads you to deeply know yourself and others very well. And depending on the technique or method used, almost all of them lead to the following important researches:
In-depth research on oneself
Seeking and discovering how we work, from our sensory systems, to all the various mental filters that we have that determine our vision of the world, to face our past, our memories, our experience.
In-depth research on society
It concerns the study and research on the functioning of social relationships between people and on the many existing human conditions both pleasant and not pleasant. And finally the reaction, the behaviour of people when they are inside these situations.
In-depth research on the world
It concerns the knowledge of the world around us: animals, plants, the four elements like earth, water, air, and fire. The gravity, imposing inescapable rules on us. And consequently know thoroughly how all these things affect us, and how we relate to all of this.
Actor Training
While carrying out the first three researches it is necessary, at the same time, to carry out the actorial training with constancy. Through many exercises for the body, the voice, and with the help of many methods of meditation and yogic techniques, the actor needs to also work on the mind an spirit. So as to make the body, voice, mind and soul an instrument that is always open, flexible and soft; in which all emotions, sensations and feelings can flow naturally. In this way, depending on the event, situation or scene, this volcano within us can thus express itself and manifest itself spontaneously throughout our being.
